Who ever said that NO NEWS is GOOD NEWS??? I have news and it's GOOD! I just booked and shot a part in a brand new show on SHOWTIME! It's a nice little part that is a must see. Look out for the SHOWTIME PILOT, SHAMELESS, starring William H. Macy.

Hello and welcome back! Last time I reported in, I had wrapped up 3 National commercials, and a couple of guest spots on TV shows, Criminal Minds and How I met your Mother.
Since then, I have booked another National Commercial. This time for Old Navy. It should start airing nationwide and in Canada sometime in Novermber. I also shot a festival short. I have posted a scene from the film in the Theatrical section of my website.
On the surfing front, my clothing sponsor O'Quinn has kept me very busy modeling in their World Wide Ad Campaigns. Not to mention, they are sending me to Hawaii in November to shoot video for their new film.
I have also teamed up with good friends and great surfers, Pascal Stansfield, Danny Estes, Kalani Robb, Macy Mullen, and Noah Erickson. Our team, Happy Endings, has entered and won 2 of 3 Jim Beam SurfTag events, and was runner up in the 3rd event. We will compete for the Championship title in Huntington Beach, Ca, November 14-15th.

First and foremost, HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!!
Last time I blogged it was...well...maybe a bit too long ago...some might even say, "Once apon a time"...but it's okay because I recognized that I am a terrible blogger, texter and I am probably the only living human without a Facebook page...or Myspace...but I am getting help...someday! Anyway, in my last blog I mentioned that I had just booked a Chevy commercial. Not too long after, I racked up a Sprint Commercial and a Anheuser Busch Commercial. You can see the Sprint and the Chevy commercial on youtube when you do a search for "Yves Bright".
Also, some more good news! I booked a part on Criminal Minds, which will air on CBS (check your local listings) Wednesday, December 17th. I also recently booked and shot the role of "Patrice" on the very funny comedy, "How I met your mother"...stay tuned for that showtime.

I am sorry for not blogging sooner than today but I have been incredibly busy lately. First and foremost, I would like to say THANK YOU for all your support!!! I feel so blessed to have such amazing fans. I love you all!!!
Second, I have great news! I just booked a Chevrolet Commercial with my wife and baby. I am really grateful for the opportunity to do a commercial with them both It's an incredible opportunity.
Last but not least, I love talking to you all. Thank you for emailing me. Thank you for supporting me. Know that a 3rd place finish on IWBASS will not deter me from acting on any stage. I will continue to pursue my goals until I am thanking you all at the Oscars.

Episode 4 proved to be a perfect place to back up my words. Nothing "weak" or "whiny" about a fight on the beach!!! I showed that I could take a punch (from the judges) and come back to win a round. The first 2 episodes proved to be a bit rough but I have showed improvement in each scene...exactly as planned.
Competition is definitely tough though, so I will definitely have to continue to improve or else I'll be killed off and end up in Soap Star Heaven.
Speaking of killed off...Joyce is a great actress who deserves nothing short of a great acting career! I can tell you that this will not be the last you see of her. Good luck, Joyce...I will look forward to seeing you on the big screen.

Hey guys, thanks for stopping by. This is the official opening day for my Blog page. I will try to post up a new blog after every show.
Today is the 3rd episode of "I wanna be a Soap Star", which will air on Soapnet (check your local cable provider or Dish Network for listing and showtime). I'm still in the game and there should be a lot of exciting new stuff to watch.
